| DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI Welcome to Delhi – India’s capital city. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Delhi is a city which presents a fascinating panorama of old and new; where forts, tombs and ruins share the skyline with high-rise buildings and stately homes. Overnight: Delhi, Crowne Plaza Delhi (First Class) or Taj Palace (Deluxe) for 2 nights.
DAY 2: HALF DAY CITY TOUR OF OLD DELHI
Visit the 300-year-old walled city built in 1648. The magnificent Red Fort built of red sandstone dates from the peak of the Mughal power. Within its walls are marble palaces, opposite the fort is the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Finally, visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. (B)
DAY 3: DELHI – JAIPUR
Depart by road to Jaipur. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Jaipur, Jaipur Holiday Inn (First Class) or Jaipur Jai Mahal Palace (Deluxe) for 2 nights. (B)
DAY 4: JAIPUR
This morning discover the “Pink City” and visit the Amber Fort, including an elephant ride. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, where the royal family still lives, the Observatory and a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). (B)
DAY 5: JAIPUR – AGRA
Depart by road for Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted ghost capital with its beautifully preserved forts, palaces and mosques. The journey from Jaipur to Agra takes approximately seven hours. This afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Agra which includes a visit to the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. Overnight: Agra, Agra Holiday Inn (First Class) or Agra Taj View (Deluxe) for 1 night. (B)
DAY 6: AGRA – DELHI
Enjoy time at leisure before returning to Delhi. (B) |

DAY 6 AGRA - KHAJURAHO
Transfer to the railway station and board the train to Jhansi. Proceed by road to Khajuraho, home to the largest group of medieval temples in India, famous for their architecture and erotic carvings. Overnight: Khajuraho, Holiday Inn (First Class and Deluxe) for 1 night. (B)
DAY 7: KHAJURAHO – VARANASI
Visit the Eastern and Western temples, before journeying to Varanasi, one of the most important pilgrim sites in India. See the buried Buddhist city of Sarnath before an evening at leisure. Overnight: Varanasi, Radisson (First Class and Deluxe) for 1 night. (B)
DAY 8: VARANASI – DELHI
Enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges and a tour of Varanasi. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. (B)
